Santa Anna agreed to sell a large part of the national territory to the Americans. These were used, for their conquest, on the one hand weapons and on the other bribery. From that ignominious chapter in our history, only the patriots were saved who, like Generals Pedro María Anaya and Nicolás Bravo, defended the country with bizarreness, although they were defeated and betrayed. |
