Description |
Joe Sosa is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. "I am influenced by Matisse and Van Gogh. Sunflower, Madonna and Child uses the sunflower to represent the circle of life. The sunflower has seeds, sheds them and comes back to life-it grows and it dies. That's the whole cycle of life. What I'm working on now is sunflowers and angels, to combine the cycle of life with spirituality. I like to experiment a lot. I think that's one of the things an artist does. I dont personally like to be tied down to one medium because I think there is so much to learn as far as expressing yourself." Presently Sosa works in multi-media, including paradigms, collage, primarily creating three-dimensional works. |
