Description |
Inspired by the Mexican muralists and the Chicano art movement, San Antonio artist Terry Ybanez see art as a tool for educating the artist and audience. Ybanez is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Masters of Art in Bilingual-Bicultural Studies. She received her BA in Studio Art from Trinity University. She has received numerous awards for her work and has been widely exhibited in Texas. Working primarily in oils, acrylics and performance art, she sees work as a catalyst for change, a mediator for reflecting complex problems. |
